Have you seen twitter posts with the hash tags  #promotedposts or #dontpaytoplay in them and wonder what the fuss is all about?

Some folks are a bit steamed up about some changes at Facebook.  This is just one more wrinkle in an ongoing saga currently going on with Facebook.

At Guru 42 we try to live up to the motto "Geek Speak Made Simple."  With Facebook recently becoming a publicly owned company, we've been watching the direction of Facebook stock in recent days and listening to the many cries of disappointment from investors.

Right now Facebook stock continues to fall. Regardless of what the folks on Wall Street say, Facebook will ultimately fail because of you!

From the view on Wall Street

As of the writing of this blog article, two weeks into their life as a publicly traded company Facebook stock is down roughly 25 percent.
 
The folks at Facebook don't have much to worry about. If Zuckerberg and friends sell their shares tomorrow, they are still ahead of the game.  They have their millions and can take the money and run.  The day the stock went public, they created their own pool of wealth they could tap into as they needed.

If you are not someone who usually invests in stocks, and are thinking about when is the right time buy Facebook stock, ah, maybe you should look else where. Last week we discussed the failure of Facebook, not from the perspective of a stock broker, but from the viewpoint of a technology professional and webmaster. My reasons for not buying into the Facebook hype is from the perspective of a webmaster and technology professional, not a investment professional.
